不動

(不動, 不动)

acala; niścala; dhruva. The unmoved, immobile, or motionless; also [lang id =1028]無動 the term is used for the unvarying or unchanging, for the pole-star, for fearlessness, for indifference to passion or temptation. It is a special term of Shingon [lang id =1028]異言 applied to its most important Bodhisattva, the [lang id =1028]不動明王 q. v.

◆謂諸如來由證大寂滅定， 所有功德， 一切外道魔軍盜賊親屬， 乃至火水風等， 皆不能撓亂變壞， 故曰不動。 ◆謂此涅槃之理， 寂然不動， 妙絕無為， 故曰不動。
